Seim Reap is a capital city of Seim Reap Province of north
western Cambodai, and is the get way to Angkor.
Siem Reap today, being a popular tourist destination, has a
large number of hotels and restaurants. Most smaller establishments are
concentrated around the Old Market area, while more expensive hotels are
located between the town along National Road 6. There are a variety of
mid-range hotels and restaurants along Sivatha, and mid budget to mid-range
hotels in the Phsar Leu area.
But I can recommend you to the best place and reasonable
price to stay is in Angkor spirit palace, you just pay 10$ then you’ll get good
offer such as free swimming pool, free internet service, free information and
service charg tuk tuk around town. And for what you eat? I would like to
recommend you to Salabay restaurant and school, in there you will have two
things to do, the first you can have a terrific Amok khmer food, and Khmer
Curry they are very famous for Cambodian people, and the second you give the
opportunity to Poor students who are studying chef for free of charge from the
Salabay restaurant. So it mean that is the part that you can help Cambodian
people.
There are many places to visit in Seim Reap, Most of tourist
come to visit Cambodia their guide recommended them to visit the Angkor wat
Temple, Taphrom, Bayon, batey srey , Beng Mealear…..cte. And beside the temple
they are also can take a boat trip to visit the Floating Village where they can
see the way of Local people living in the village, working in the farm and
fishing in the lake.
The More interesting
that you have to see and thing to do together it just spend your haft day to
visit Kompong Plang where is the fish farm from. You will see a lot of local
people are busy with their making smoke fish, and dry fish that they get it
fresh from the lake, you also can do the Oxcart ride with the local people
there to go to their farm, and join with them in the rice field.
More over they can go
to visit Handcraft that make from wood, stone, weaving, weave, palm leaf, and
make silk and make sugar palm in a small village name Prodak. The transport for
travelling, there are many kinds for you to choose with small Car, tuk tuk,
boat, bus, Biclycle ride to visit on tour. it depend on your decision .
In deep of this tour I would like to recommend you to come
and visit Seim Reap or Cambodia in November to Jan because the weather not so
hot and also you can see the fresh green forest from the country side.
